    Code Rewieves and How to Make Them Better


    Hello. My name is Hamza. In this blog, I will write about code reviews and how they affect the coding process. In our job, we should write our codes according to certain standards. To achieve these standards, we change codes from time to time. Code reviewing is important for several reasons. The purpose of code reviews is to improve the code.


    If we want to write a good code review, we must consider some criteria. Many things are covered in code reviews, so we should give weight to what we do. For example, we divide the important and not important things. If we do this, we will not put the reader in a difficult situation. We can also remember the new joiners. A new joiner can easily confused because the coding process is already at a certain level. They are falling behind the things. Good reviews can help them, and they can keep up the process. In my opinion, one of the most important things is the tone. With a good tone, we can keep harmonious relationships. For instance, asking open-ended questions and not making direct judgments is a good tone for communication. 


    In high-level projects, we should consider more things for codes and reviews like cross-office and cross-time zones. If they are not in the same location, reviewing the codes can be difficult for participants. We can solve this problem by making a detailed timetable. Time tables can solve the cross-time zone problems. 


    In the first term of the school, we do our projects with a partner, so we make healthy reviews more often. In my situation, I make my reviews on WhatsApp and phone calls. At that time, I received feedback that struck me. With this feedback, I fixed and shortened my code. It helped me. In the end, I am a human being that can make mistakes. That feedback from my partner helped me. We also set a time to discuss our code. With these arrangements, we did not face any particular difficulties. 


    In conclusion, code reviews can make better codes, and good code reviews even more. We should do the code reviewing more if we want to write our codes better and cleaner. The benefits of code rewieving affect our career, too.
